Managerial surrender killed 5,622 Floridians. The Strike-Secure method saved thousands. This is not a policy dispute. The federal government has abandoned its constitutional duty to provide for the common defense. Under the Biden Administration, the Department of Homeland Security issued directives that unilaterally disarmed the border—deprioritizing enforcement, terminating the Migrant Protection Protocols, and creating mass parole programs through agency discretion rather than congressional vote. The result: 5,622 Floridians died of fentanyl in 2022.
The Constitution vests legislative power in Congress. When bureaucrats make law through directive, they violate the constitutional structure that James Madison designed. In Bushnell, deputies recently arrested a convicted felon armed with a handgun and an AR-15, caught with trafficking amounts of fentanyl at the Rodeway Inn. Nearly 3,000 traffickers who will never deal again, and 970 firearms seized from convicted felons and drug cartels. Thousands more people alive today to build, to love, and to change the world, because one state refused to surrender. The establishment offers bureaucratic solutions—more agencies, more directives, more discretion—for the very system that failed 5,622 Floridians and their families. We offer the constitutional recalibration Madison designed.
